We sat down with him to ask about being part of the 2021 Flirt Summit 60, his love of Flirt First-timers, and how he manages to keep his shows so scintillating after a decade as a gay cam star.
Charles Farley: Congratulations on winning your way to Flirt Summit! How do you feel?
Rob Ryder: Winning the random draw to go to summit felt AMAZING! I still can’t quite believe I won!
CF: What part of Flirt Summit are you most looking forward to?
RR: I’m most excited to reunite with some of my fellow model friends as well as meet some models for the first time. The activities are great, but my favorite part about Summit is hanging with the models and people who work at Flirt.
CF: You’ve been to several Summits. Which was most memorable and why?
RR: This is a tough one, but I’d have to say my most memorable was the Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic in 2015. For more reasons than I can count, but the group that went was so much fun and some of the activities were priceless. I’ll never forget battling it out in the bikini contest with some of my favorite cam model buddies.
CF: How long have you been camming now?
RR: This past May was the 10 year mark since I first signed up for Flirt4Free. Feels like just yesterday that I logged on for the first time.
CF: What would you be doing if you weren’t camming?
RR: I’d more than likely be doing real estate as a realtor or flipping houses. That’s probably where I am headed when I am retired from cam down the road.
CF: We enjoyed doing some scripted video content with you. Do you have acting experience?
RR: I did letter in Drama/Theatre many years ago in high school. I definitely feel like that comes in handy when I do the scripted videos for you guys and my roleplay private shows I do.
CF: How do you keep your cam shows fresh after all this time?
RR: Even though I’ve been doing this for a long time, I really don’t think it’s hard to keep it fresh, since I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills. Just recently I invested in a very expensive camera and changed my cam room up. Both of these have helped make it feel new and fresh for me and my guys online.
CF: What’s the best way to drive you wild? What fetishes or roleplay scenarios do you especially enjoy on cam?
RR: The best way to drive me wild is to let me know what turns you on and leave the rest to me. It sounds weird but I really get turned on by turning other people on. If I know what turns someone on, I love to be able to use that to drive them wild. My favorite roles aren’t necessarily one specific scenario that I enjoy. I love when someone has a specific scene in mind for me to play and allows me to act it out. Some guys are very creative with the role plays they have in mind which makes it a lot of fun for me to get into it. Some of my favorites are definitely: Jock in the shower noticing someone is checking me out and forcing them to do things to me so I won’t tell anyone they were lookin at me, master with a slave willing to please me in anyway I see fit. Boss and employee desperate to keep their job and willing to do whatever it takes not to get fired, and student and teacher where the student is falling behind on grades and wants to know what they could possibly do to get their failing grade turned into a passing one.
CF: You must have had some hilarious, strange encounters on cam. Tell us about one of your funniest or most memorable moments?
RR: There are too many funny and strange encounters. I can't pick one, mainly because most are a bit too inappropriate, even for this blog! (laughs) I will say most of them occur in my cam2cam shows when guys put on shows for me. Let’s just say there are some pretty creative fellas out there.
CF: Ok, here’s the scene: I’m a first-time guest of your chatroom. What can I say to steal your heart?
RR: The best way to steal my heart is by giving a large 1 million credit tip! Just kidding (laughs) With me, it’s pretty easy. Just be yourself and talk to me like a normal person. Sometimes I think the members overthink it and believe they have to put on some sort of persona to make me like them, but that’s not the case. I actually enjoy meeting new people and making friends. It’s hard to be friends if you aren’t being yourself.
CF: What will a newcomer like best about taking you private?
RR: I LOVE newbies. There’s this type of innocence that comes with being new to the site and I love it. I think that’s the thing a newcomer will like the most about a private with me is that I am patient and can help figure out how to have the best time possible. Everyone was once a newbie, and I can appreciate that.
CF: What about off-cam? Any passions or hobbies?
RR: Off cam I love eating great food and sharing drinks with friends. I really enjoy watching football and basketball. As far as outdoor activities, I like hiking and camping and paddle boarding. Finally, I’m big into live music and live comedy shows.
CF: Finally, tell us something you wish your fans knew about you, but probably don’t.
RR: I’d say the biggest thing my fans probably don’t know and/or believe about me is that I really am attracted to personality more than looks ... and there is no such thing as too old. When I find your personality attractive then everything about you is attractive as well, including your age. A lot of guys don’t believe me when I say I like chubby hairy guys either, which I actually do! Six pack or beer belly, it starts with the personality.
